Daddy's Birthday

Last week was Kris's birthday. It was a modest affair with some presents at home since the next night we were going to the TMBG concert. Izzy gave Daddy some animal crackers for sharing and a Maurice Sendak book to read together. She also picked out a colorful card with lots of balloons on it since she had discovered her love for them the week before.

Pink Cuteness

Izzy got a hand-me down LL Bean fleecy from our neighbor . I had to get a picture of the wee teddy bear.

Hangin' with Kate

Last week, our friend Kate came out to Worcester to visit. We had a fun time hanging out on her mother's floor and then we took Izzy out to the new playground at Burncoat. Izzy loves swinging :) Maybe next year, we'll get her a swing for the yard.

Kate gives Izzy a push.

Pirate Princess Party

Yesterday, Izzy helped celebrate Emma's 3rd birthday. It was quite the extravaganza including a giant cardboard castle and a swingset pirate ship with a plank over shark infested waters. There were tons of kids in full princess and pirate regalia. Izzy wore a pink pirate princess hat for the occasion. She loved the wand Meghan made for party favors. She also really liked the vanilla cake. Yum!

A Pirate Princess home at her castle.

With this wand, I shall summon a newt!

It worked!

Oh, I guess this is really Emma's castle since it is her birthday.

Some Yummy Fall Treats

Today, we went apple picking with Grandma and Uncle Ben up at George Hill. We got to take a hay ride up to the orchard. Izzy did a great job sitting up on her own next to Daddy. She was fascinated by the tractor pulling us. Izzy wasn't much help picking the apples but she really wanted to help eat them. She has no teeth yet so she had to settle for a few pre-bitten morsels. Donuts were much easier. Yum!

To top off the day we all went to Rota Springs for ice cream before they close for the season. Izzy got to sample my hot fudge sundae, Dad's coffee shake and Grandma's apple pie ice cream. She would have eaten an entire cone herself if allowed to. After we were done (since no one can really finish the serving sizes they give there!) Izzy got to watch the goats and cows. All in all it was a fun fall day!

Look, Mom! No car seat!

Now Izzy can reach the higher apples.

This year they stamped hands. Even Izzy's.

Give me that apple!

Grandma shares her apple with Izzy.

Thank you, Grandma.

Mmmm, ice cream :)

I'll take of this for you, Mom.

Hi, Miss Goat. It's time for us to go now.

Look who's sitting!

This evening, Izzy practiced sitting up unaided. Her balance has improved greatly just in the last week and she stayed up long enough for me to get a few pictures.

This is great!

I'm still up and you're over there, Mom.

Oopsy daisy!
