The Challenges of being a Peanut

So being wicked small has advantages and disadvantages. Mommy and Daddy are learning ways to deal with Izy's diminutiveness on a daily basis. Today Izzy got a sling which she seemed to enjoy at the store and we'll test that out tomorrow. Why? Because she's 2 lbs too small for a carrier. She's also a bit small for her car seat but Mommy and Daddy are good engineers who figured out how to make Izzy's head a bit more upright (folded diaper along the back.) Fortunately, Izzy still is eating like gang busters and hopefully will be a little bigger before too long though Mommy does appreciate her portability. Mommy needed trust the ultrasound tech and realize that 6 lbs is not 8 lbs. Silly woman since she's a math teacher after all! So lots of laundry is being done to keep her few newborn outfits clean. Grandma Pat and Mommy will be making a field trip to Old Navy to get a couple more outfits since they run very small there (and very inexpensive :) ).

So for scale, here is Izzy with a diaper.
The diaper is 12 in x 17 in.
