So on the second day home alone with the girls, we did manage to get out to do a couple errands. Treated myself to some much needed iced coffee and headed to Trader Joe's. Of course, Izzy fell asleep on the way so a 20 minute ride turned into an hour to give her a chance to sleep and maybe head off the tantrum that would occur if sleeping beauty woke up too soon. Mae slept as well. Good thing I had coffee! Fortunately, Izzy got out of the car without too much fuss because she likes TJ's. Why? Free samples, of course! At the store Izzy scored a mini eclair and licked off all the chocolate and most of the cream filling. I got the shell. Then a worker saw Izzy and just pulled a container of fruit gels off the shelf and opened them to give us each one then to ply other customers with their citrus-y goodness. Izzy met a lovely older woman in a wheel chair named Mary who thought she was adorable as did the check-out clerk who gave her a bunch of stickers. I'm always impressed at how friendly and happy people there seem to be. Workers and customers alike. Then after checking out and heading towards the door a veteran worker who we see almost every time we go, said "Congratulations!" and presented me with a big bouquet celebrating the coming of Mae. So needless to say, they are now on my list to receive thank-you notes :)
